Puerto Escondido (Oaxaca)
Puerto Escondido is a Mexican city and port belonging to the state of Oaxaca. It is located about 800 km southeast of Mexico City and 290 km from the capital, Oaxaca de Juárez, between Acapulco and Huatulco, in the Coastal Region. It is the most populated city on the Oaxacan coast and one of the main tourist destinations in the state. It has a warm sub-humid climate and an average annual temperature of 27 °C (27 °F). Its extraordinary natural beauty and the hospitality of the locals combine to attract thousands of tourists from all over the world. It is among the main treasures of the coast of Oaxaca, one of the most beautiful on both sides of the Pacific Ocean.
It is the oldest tourist center in the state of Oaxaca and one of the most important in Mexico.
