Rivera Maya
The Riviera Maya is a tourist area of Mexico, located on the coast of the Caribbean Sea, in the state of Quintana Roo. Geographically it extends along the coastline, from the town of Puerto Morelos in the north to the town of Punta Allen in the south, about 210 km long. It is located in the eastern part of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Nature has been truly generous and wise with the Riviera Maya, covering it with dense jungle vegetation among which are hidden more than 7,000 cenotes, huge natural wells of subway water that the Mayas used to make their sacrifices.
"The Riviera Maya offers white sands, turquoise waters, archaeological sites, picturesque villages, recreational centers, freshwater lagoons, subway caverns, cenotes, hotel options ranging from rustic cabins to luxurious grand tourism hotels.".”
